What does it mean to be “Day 1 Ready?”. We believe it means having a firm foundation for your esports program so you can say with confidence “I got this.” Spoiler: you won’t have it all, but you’ll be far, farther ahead than a lot of us when we first began our programs. Whether you are starting yours from scratch, or moving into an established program as a new coach – “Day 1 Ready” is all about being able to walk into that first parent meeting or first practice with confidence.
This course will assume you have some pre-season time. But don’t worry, it isn’t a pre-req. ANY concept in this course can be started at any point in a season. And we won’t just talk about practice schedules and drills, either. We’ll touch on all aspects of running an effective esports program and working with all the parties involved: parents, admin, faculty, and of course, your student athletes. Remember, this is a foundations course. There will be other courses that dive deeper into these concepts.
